OCA Global's International Division successfully completed its participation in the Windfloat Atlantic project.
The project consists of the installation of three floating platforms for large-capacity wind turbines in what is the first commercial experience of its kind in the world.
The project partners are EDP Renováveis, Repsol and Principle Power Inc., and have just connected the first of these 8.4 MW wind turbines to the Portuguese grid.
OCA Global has carried out the construction supervision in Setúbal (Portugal) of two of these platforms, which are already offshore 20 km off the Portuguese coast of Viana do Castelo and will be connected in succession.
